I MADE ROCK ‘N’ ROLL FESTIVAL DETAILS ANNOUNCED IN ADVANCE OF MAY 18 CONCERT HEADLINED BY JANELLE MONÁE

Immersive Art and Music Experiences, Special Live Performances, Customizable Rock-Inspired Merch, Top Local Food and Retail Offerings

INDIANAPOLIS (MAY 7, 2024) GANGGANG, the creative advocacy agency behind the I Made Rock ‘N’ Roll Festival, in partnership with Forty5, today announced additional details for the full-day music experience. In addition to rocking out with icons like Janelle Monáe, Gary Clark Jr., Robert Randolph Band, Joy Oladokun, Meet Me @ The Altar, and Inner Peace (full schedule below), festival goers will be able to engage with large-scale photo opportunities, Black rock history, and immersive sonic experiences, including access to some of Indianapolis’ best food and retail brands.

The long-standing presence of Black artistry in rock and roll will be highlighted in festival activations, which include The Sound Space, an enclosed A/V experience playing legendary performances by Black rock musicians, and a giant rock history timeline, giving credit to the true creators of the sound.

Attendees will be able to design their own I Made Rock ‘N’ Roll overalls and thrifted denim jackets, adding buttons, patches, and pins to fit their personal aesthetics with the help of artists on site. Custom guitar picks, vintage vinyl, jewelry, and many more exclusive, rock-inspired items will be available for sale in the Rock And Row area of the festival. Food Truck Row nearby will feature nine food trucks and vendors, including T Day’s Jerk, Black Leaf Vegan, and Pronto Taco.

Festival goers of all ages are welcome to relax in The Backyard, a specially curated space for patrons to recharge, play, and connect with each other on blankets and bean bags. This area will feature lawn chairs, umbrellas for shade, colorful artwork in the trees, and easy access to Food Truck Row.
